Leather Shaving Blades

There are about 150 leather processing firms in Pakistan that spend nearly PKR 5 Million per firm per year on the import of leather fleshing and shaving blades, making an annual market of PKR 750 Million. Under the licensed agreement, M/s SRC Lahore is now manufacture these blades locally, thus offering quality indigenous blades at significantly reduced cost, leading to substantial savings in foreign exchange.

Spot TB

Spot TB is a handheld robust electrochemical biosensor-based device for early TB detection. The technology has been developed by Dr Shahrukh Abbas from NUST Atta-ur-Rahman School of Applied Bio-Sciences (ASAB) and licensed to Pharmatec Pakistan.

Smart Wound Management Device (SWMD)

Smart Wound Management device is a robust electrochemical biosensor which enables doctors to monitor the wound condition empowering doctors to treat wound with right medication at initial stage. Developed by Dr. Murtaza Najabat and licensed to Pharmatec Pakistan.


EKKO is a high-tech electronic device to generate artificial neuro-transmissions that are an advancement in cognitive rehabilitation – a modern concept to rehabilitate patients suffering from neurogenic disorders. This concept is based on a new therapeutic procedure titled “Neurotransmission Cognitive Therapy” to implement neuro-transmission cognitive theory. Developed by Dr. Usman Akram and licensed to M/s Risetech.

The developed system has the potential of bringing a major shift in the way chatbots are viewed by the e-commerce industry from a fun to have add on to a fundamental pillar of online sales; thereby harnessing the true potential of conversational interfaces in the online consumer market. N-Safe Gel based Hand Sanitizer

N-Safe Hand Sanitizer Gel has been certified for 99.99% microbial control by Pakistan Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (PCSIR). Having received authorization by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP), N-Safe Hand Sanitizer Gel is being manufactured under license by Pharmatec Private Limited. 

saNitize liquid based Hand Sanitizer

NUST has launched SANITIZE; an Alcohol-Based Hand Sanitizer Liquid, developed according to the World Health Organisation (WHO) Guidelines 2020 that declare only high percentage alcohol-based disinfectants as effective protection against COVID-19. Developed by Dr. Nosheen Fatima and is licensed to Nutrabiomed SMC.


NUST Atta-ur-Rahman School of Applied Biosciences (ASAB) have successfully established Molecular Diagnostic Assays for the detection of Novel Coronavirus. Developed by Dr. Aneela and Dr. Ali , licensed to Pharmatec Pakistan.
